Shivani Shesh, alumni from Modern High School, and Loreto College, Kolkatta has always been an ardent artist with a creative bent of mind. Having done numerous sketches, paintings and a brief course in Fine Arts from Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkatta, she delved into the world of creative thinking. Paints, colour, brushes were synonymous and part of her life.
With time, she gradually shifted to Delhi, and continued her passion for sketching.
While continuing her passion for the creative, she majored in B.Ed, followed by M.A. from Delhi. She has been an excellent educationist and voracious reader and held the post of Head of Department, English and has been the Co-ordinator of a reputed educational institution till 2016.
The onset of 2016 was a major change in her career and sojourn of life. She started thinking about entering the realm of design. Hence, she decided to resign from her job and started exploring options for courses in designing. The part to resign and give away a well earning job was not easy for her, but she gives full credit to her son, who supported her in this journey.
She explored many venues and decided to enrol for Interior Design & Styling Course from Pearl Academy Institute, Noida. She was awarded by the Academy for her excellent academic achievements. (2017-2019).
The concept of starting her own company had already taken shape in 2016. With her unique ideas, desire to shape and mould her thoughts and concepts into aesthetically pleasing, vibrant compositions; and her creativity to excellence and desire for brilliance, led to the formation of DesignGatha, an Interior Designing firm.
The word ‘Design’ denotes ‘composition’ and ‘Gatha’ indicates a ‘story.’ Hence, the term ‘DesignGatha,’ was very appropriate where we weave, story of the clients, through their designs.
The birth of DesignGatha was to provide creative, artistic ideas for the client, to fulfil his/her needs through their artistically alluring compositions.
DesignGatha, not only provides Interior Design services, but it also undertakes turnkey projects, landscape and terrace gardening, modular kitchen and wardrobe, furniture and furnishings and styling services.
Their USP lies in providing renovation packages in accordance with the client needs, and are adept at visualisation and execution of interiors in small budget, for big makeovers.
